DeWayne and his family moved to Chattanooga in 2022, planting Waypoint Church with a vision to embrace smaller, incarnational expressions of Christian community that worship God and love others. He is passionate about making disciples who make disciples and the faithful preaching and teaching of God’s word.

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, he graduated from Saint Martin’s University and received his Master of Divinity from Gateway Seminary. Since 2004, he has been blessed to pastor churches in Washington, California and Tennessee.

He and Jessica have been married since 2009 and have 4 kids: Connor, Tristan, Declan and Mikaela. When he’s not ministering or hanging out with his family, he loves coffee and conversations, reading, fishing, a cold beer and a warm fire.
