Statement of Faith
The Trinity
We believe in the One living and true God, eternally existing in three distinct and co-equal persons, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, each possessing all the attributes of deity. He is the Creator of all things visible and invisible and is perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love.
God the Father
We believe in God the Father, an infinite, personal Spirit who mercifully concerns Himself in the affairs of humanity. We believe that He hears and answers prayer and gifts salvation to any who come to Him through Jesus Christ.
God the Son – Jesus Christ
We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. We believe in His sinless life, miracles, and teachings. We believe in His substitutionary atoning death on the Cross, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, perpetual intercession for His people, and personal visible return to Earth.
God the Holy Spirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit, co-equal and co-eternal with the Father and the Son. We believe the Holy Spirit regenerates, indwells, sanctifies, and empowers all who place their faith in Jesus Christ for salvation. He convicts us of sin and counsels us towards Holiness. He is an abiding helper, teacher, and guide.
The Word of God
We believe the Bible is the Word of God, written by human hands under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, inerrant in its content and infallible in its purpose. We believe it is the final authority in all matters of faith and practice.
Regeneration
We believe that all people are sinners by nature and by choice and are, therefore, under condemnation. We believe that those who repent of their sins and trust in Jesus Christ as Savior are regenerated by the Holy Spirit.
The Church
We believe in the universal church, a living spiritual body of which Christ is the head and all those who place their faith and trust in Christ are members. We believe the local church consists of a body of believers who unite to worship God, encourage and equip one another in growing as and making disciples, and sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ in every space of life.
The Ordinances
We believe the Lord gave baptism and communion to the church. We believe baptism is the water immersion of a believer in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We believe that communion was given to us by Jesus for the remembrance of His sacrificial death and resurrection bringing victory over sin and death. We believe the Lord intends both to be a normal, regular and unifying part of church life and celebration.
Religious Liberty
We believe that every human being has direct relations with God and is responsible to God alone in all matters of faith. We believe that each church should be free from interference by any ecclesiastical or political authority. We believe in the separation of church and state.
The Last Things
We believe in the personal and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to Earth and the establishment of His Kingdom. We believe in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment, the eternal and joyous life of the righteous and the eternal punishment of the wicked.
